Eclor

Eclor is the Apple & Beverage division of the Agrial agricultural cooperative, created in 2004 — the year the Cooperative acquired CCLF and CSR, then the leading French cider and apple juice producers.

Historically well established in the cider market (with brands such as Loïc Raison and Ecusson), Eclor has diversified its portfolio and committed to revitalizing the image of cider in France. The product range has been redesigned, with all products reimagined by the cider houses’ cellar masters while preserving traditional cider-making expertise. The division is also active in the beer and soft drinks markets in France, and since 2012, in the U.S. market, offering compotes, vinegars, and juices under the North Coast brand.

In 2017, Eclor launched France’s first Hard Cider, La Mordue, to bring cider into bars and brasseries.

In 2018, the Apples & Beverages division expanded into the Anglo-Saxon market, the world’s largest cider market, through the acquisition of Aston Manor, the leading independent cider maker in the United Kingdom (holding 26% of the UK market) and the second-largest player in the Anglo-Saxon cider market (representing 47% of global cider sales).

In 2020, the cooperative acquired Phare Ouest, a company built on two pillars: beer, with Brasserie Lancelot (brands include Lancelot, Duchesse Anne, Blanche Hermine), and soft drinks, with Breizh Cola.
