About Eclor
Founded in 2004, Eclor is the Apples & Beverages branch of the agricultural cooperative Agrial agricultural cooperative. Formed through the acquisition of the CCLF and CSR, both of which were prominent leaders in French cider and apple juice at the time..
Eclor is deeply rooted in a rich cider-making heritage. Today, we stand as a leading player in the industry, propelled by iconic brands like Loïc Raison and Ecuson.
Driven by the passion of our cellar masters, Eclor is reinventing cider by blending tradition with innovation. We continually modernize our recipes to captivate today's consumers, most notably with our Hard Cider La Mordue.
Beyond cider, Eclor boasts a bold and diverse beverage portfolio. This includes characterful beers from the Lancelot Breweryand iconic regional sodas like Breizh Cola. Our reach extends globally, with a strong presence in the United Kingdom through the Aston Manor ciderworks and in the United States with organic apple products under the brand North Coast.
A true growth partner, Eclor also supports clients with their beverage co-packing projects. By leveraging the expertise of our purchasing, R&D, and marketing teams, we help bring distinctive, high-performing products to the market.
2012
The cooperative reached a new milestone with its first acquisition outside of Europe: California-based Manzana Products, a specialist in apple processing. This strategic move also marked our diversification into new product categories, including vinegars and compotes.
2017
Eclor took on a bold challenge to break the norm and introduce cider where it is least expected. With La Mordue, the first French Hard Cider was born and specifically crafted for bars and brasseries. It represents a freer, modern, and thoroughly refreshing way to rediscover the apple.
2018
Our Apples & Beverages branch expanded into the UK, the world’s leading cider market, by acquiring dAston Manor. As the UK's top independent cider maker (holding 26% of the UK market) and the second-largest player in the global English-speaking cider market, Aston Manor is renowned for its large-scale production of both its own brands (Friels, Kingstone Press, Frosty Jack's) and private labels.
2020
he cooperative took another major step forward with the acquisition of Phare Ouest. This strategic move rests on two complementary pillars: The Brewery Lancelot Brewery, creator of iconic beers like Lancelot, Duchesse Anne, and Blanche Hermine, and soft drinks, led by the beloved Breizh Cola.
This acquisition strengthens our portfolio while reaffirming our commitment to brands deeply rooted in the Brittany region.
